Please give me information on the perennial Centaurea montana.

This is a perennial that grows in clumps about 1-2 feet tall and wide. Its foliage is grayish-green and flowers are about 3 inches, resembling blue cornflowers. It needs regular water and snails are attracted to it. It should be divided every two years or so.
