do i have to start my shasta daisy's indoors (its summer and no chance of frost) or can i just plant the seeds outdoors in the garden? Also do i plant ONE seed 18" apart or a couple of seeds together 18" apart? thank you (first time daisy planter). |
You can start the seeds outdoors, but the germination rate is usually better when they are started under more controlled conditions. If planting in the garden, the normal procedure with perennials is to start the seeds in a nursery bed and then transplant the resulting plants into the garden later on when they are large enough to take their place there. You could start the seeds in a row several inches apart. Have fun with the daisies! |
