I was wondering if I could grow honeydew melons where I live.

Yes, you can! Melons do best in warm soil, so in the future, it's a good idea to start seeds indoors about 6-8 weeks before transplanting them out to give them a jumpstart. Choose varieties with the shortest number of days to maturity since your growing season isn't very lengthy.
