I bought my mom Erica Ventricosa for Mothers Day but she doesn't know if she should prune it or just clip flowers when they are done blooming. Can you help with any information on the South African heather?

Your plant has the potential to reach 6' in height! To keep it compact and attractive, cut the stems back after flowering, removing the flowers plus a few inches of stem. This will encourage new tip growth, keeping the plant full and dense. Provide full sunshine outdoors and very fast draining soil and your Erica will perform wonderfully. Enjoy!
