Pruning Of Silver Lace Vine - Knowledgebase Question

I've had this silver lace vine for 5 yrs.
I have never pruned. Do I prune this and how often?
This year it has been slow, we had a real cold Dec.
It is coming out but slow. Please let me know of any imformation you have

Silver lace vine can be pruned back as hard as desired in the early spring each year. (Many gardeners find it needs a very hard pruning to keep the size under control.} It blooms on new growth of the season and the pruning helps stimulate new wood and more blooms by keeping the plant vigorous.
