I have had a mock orange for everal years, but it does not bloom. What is the problem?? It was a transplant from a friend several years ago. Would it bloom from old growth or new?? Thanks for any help I can get. |
Mock oranges bloom on the previous year's growth and so should only be pruned immediately after blooming. There are numerous instances of mock oranges inexplicably failing to bloom during their establishment period, occasionally lasting as long as five years or so. As long as the plant is growing well and located in full sun, there is not too much more you can do except wait. |
