|Weeping cherries as a rule are not pruned extensively. Any dead branches should be removed immediately, and any severely crossing or rubbing branches can be removed in the spring. Any root suckers or other growth below the graft should also be removed as soon as possible. These trees grow best in full sun and an average to rich soil that is evenly moist yet well drained.
