|Two summers ago, I planted a red yarrow plant in a raised bed. This bed receives approximately 8 - 10 hours of sun each day. However, my yarrow plant is only several inches high and it has never bloomed. We have had a very wet spring/summer this year.|
What type of location would be best if I wanted to move this plant to enhance it's growth?
|Yarrow or achillea requires full sun and good air circulation and prefers a well drained soil. In my experience, the red flowered yarrows grow lustily in average garden soil that is amended with organic matter and, if your soil is clay based, also with some sand. It usually spreads quickly, so I am surprised yours has not grown or bloomed.|
