Sow seeds in early spring with a bottom heat of 68-77 degrees F to enhance germination. Use a sterile seed-starting mix and keep the surface moist at all times. Make a plastic "tent" around the container, for example. Place seedlings out of direct sunlight until they establish. Gradually harden them off before exposing them outdoors.
