|I have just bought some Clematis alpina seed.
Is it the right time to plant this seed?
If so, what is the process?
Thank you for all your help.
|Clematis seeds generally are available in the fall and can be sown outside in the fall for germination the following spring. If you have seeds you want to start now, they'll need a cold-treatment (in the freezer) for 3 weeks. After the cold treatment, sow seeds just below the surface of moistened growing medium and keep at 80F - 85F. Germination is slow (sometimes taking several months)and sporadic, so don't give up on your seedlings!|
