Pasture care is a specialized method of managing nutrients, weeds, and mowing/grazing; developing good pasture can take several years. You may be able to spot treat the weed with an herbicide containing glyphosate according to the label instructions. However, I would strongly suggest you consult with your veterinarian as to the safety of grazing/hay cutting after using any type of chemical weed controls on the pasture. I would also suggest you contact your county extension for their pasture management recommendations. They should be able to help you with soil tests, nutrient analysis, and determining the best grass types for your area and soil.
