I received a bluebird hydrangea this past Mother'sDay; it wasin bloom; it is no longer blooming; is that it for the summer? other hydrangeas seem to bloom all summer.

Somtimes hydrangeas that are forced to bloom early for the holidays for instance do not continue to bloom over as long a period as they might in the garden. The transplanting process can also cause them to go into a bit of a shock and give up blooming early. Ill timed pruning can also cause it to stop blooming. If all goes well it should be back on a regular summer schedule next year. I am sorry it took us so long to respond to your question.
