How well do fruitless olive trees do in containers on a patio?

Olive trees are relatively slow growing and should adapt to growing in containers, at least for several years. Be sure your containers are large, with plenty of drainage holes, and filled with potting soil rather than garden soil. You can expect the trees to be happy in containers for about 5 years.
