Internet Plant Database - Knowledgebase Question

Is there such a thing as a comprehensive database on line when you could search for information about plants of all types. Example: cranesbill geraniums - zones, general plant info I would appreciate your input.

Unfortunately I am not aware of a comprehensive resource like that. You can use the Latin name as the searchterm on a search engine such as google and generally pull up some decent results, especially if the source is something reliable such as a cooperative extension service or official university site. Alternatively you can still turn to reference books. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
