What flowers would grow best in full sun in Hawaii? Would roses be good? |
Bougainvillea would be my first choice, but since they're so common in your area, you may want a change of pace for your own landscape. Roses can be fickle in areas where heat and humidity prevail. The flowers may open before they're fully formed if weather is too hot. Instead of roses, how about Cistus (rockrose), Dodonaea viscosa (hop bush), Nerium (oleander), Pittosporum tobira (Tobira), Agapanthus (lily of the nile), Phormium or Gazania to add color to your garden? |
