Used Miracle-gro Tomato food-- Got bushes 7 ft. tall and 4 plants cover an area 6ft. by 10ft. SOme fruit, but most are not round, but flat and sort of sectioned. Great flavor, but look more like a flat pumpkin. Got any ideas ???

Tomato shape can vary with variety. What you describe might be one of the heirlooms, which generally do not look as pretty as the newer varieties, but have wonderful flavor. If the tomatoes are the kind that should be round and smooth, then I'd suspect poor pollination or inconsistent watering as the fruit is developing to be causing the unusual shape. Tomato plants should be watered deeply as often as necessary to keep the soil moist but not soggy wet. As long as the tomatoes taste great, go ahead and enjoy eating them. Try watering on a more regular schedule to see if that makes any difference in the finished product.
