I am trying to find, what I was told is called a Texas Privet and I can't find it on your web site. I am looking to use this plant to build a wall in the front and side of my new home. The front is approximately 230 feet long, and the sides I am not sure of yet. I was told to plant them a foot a part. Can you help me with any suggestions? I am new at this, so sorry if my questions sounds unintelligent.

Japanese Privet (Ligustrum japonica)is sometimes called Texas privet. It's a member of the olive family (Oleaceae), Japanese privet is a shrub which can grow to twelve feet in height. Leaves are roundish or oval, two inches long, glossy medium to dark green. Small, white, four-petaled flowers grow in panicles at the ends of branches. The fleshy blue fruits, less than a quarter-inch in diameter, contain a hard seed. It makes an excellent hedge or screening plant, growing up to 8' wide at maturity. How closely you space the plants is determined by how quickly you want your hedge to fill in. One foot apart seems a bit close! I'd plant them 4' apart and trim them annually to encourage bushy growth. They'll fill in rather quickly with a little extra care while they're young. Hope this answers your question!
