| My company is moving to new office space. I will have my own office and I would like to have a couple of plants in there. My problem...I have no windows in my office. The only light will be artificial from flourescents and cone lights. |
Can you suggest any "Live" plants I can grow in this atmosphere? I hate artificial plants so I would rather have none than use fake.
|You're in luck! Some plants actually thrive under low light conditions. Wandering Jew and Philodendron, are decent choices, but probably the best choices are Spider Plant, Sanseveria, Swedish Ivy, Pothos, Parlor Palm, Dieffenbachia, Chinese Evergreen, Cast Iron Plant (Aspidistra elatior), and Arrowhead Plant (Syngonium podophyllum). A trick you can use to keep your plants always healthy and happy is to rotate them from your low light office to a slightly brighter place every 3-4 weeks. I do this and the results are great - I have happy, healthy plants both at home and at the office just by moving them from one location to the other every few weeks. Best wishes in your new office and with your plants.|
