I have a tree in my front yard that I would like to know the name of. It has small fragrant (looks like a star Jasmine) flowers in the fall, has heart-shaped medium-large leaves and when the petals of the flowers fall off after blooming, it leaves a blueberry-colored berry in the center and the outer portion of the stem is dark pink and star-shaped. Please help me to identify.

Thank you!

It sounds like a Clerodendrum to me. These trees are commonly called Glory Blower. The flowers are unusual and quite spectacular. For a more complete description, consult Sunset Western Garden Book. There are a dozen varieties listed, each with detailed descriptions of flowers and leaves. Enjoy your beautiful tree!
