The leaves on my spicy jatropha nearly all dropped off. One brance has 3 leaves and will flower on occassion. I noticed the leaves dropping in November. The plant is in front of a south facing window with mini blinds that I open every morning. It is near a radiator. How do I encourage new growth?

They do thrive in full sun so the south facing window sounds good, but being located near a radiator is tough on most plants. If possible, move it elsewhere. They are native to Cuba, so thrive on humidity. Try increasing the humidity around it with pans of water or setting it on a tray of pebbles with water, to evaporate around it. All plants have a period of dormancy when they don't put out much new growth, usually perking up again towards late winter/early spring. Hope this helps!
