| Pennisetum rubrum, or purple fountain grass, is most certainly hardy in your growing region. Expect the plant to form a neat 2'-4' high clump of purplish-maroon blades topped by rose-red flower spikes from summer through fall. Grow in full sunshine and water regularly until the plant is established. You can divide large clumps after they've been in the garden several years. |
