Bareroot roses are planted from mid-December to February in the low desert. Container plants are best planted in spring or fall. It's getting a bit late to plant them now, especially since we've had such hot weather. You can still do so if you monitor their water needs carefully during the summer. Apply a thick layer of mulch to help maintain soil moisture and reduce soil temperatures.
