What is the difference between a Weeping Willow and a Golden Willow? |
Salix pendula, the weeping willow, is from China and grows 30'-50' tall and wide. The branches are green and brown, and have a pronounced weeping habit, often reaching the ground. The foliage is a blue-green. Salix alba, the golden weeping willow, is native to Europe and north Africa. It grow 75'-100' tall and 50' -100' wide. It has yellowish-brown bark and bright green leaves which are silvery beneath. |
