I am searching for a plant that my mother had growing in her garden. She called it a money plant. If you rubbed the outer layers you would expose an inner translucent coin shaped center. I have had no success. Can you help me? |
This is an old fashioned or heirloom type of biennial called Lunaria annua, sometimes called honesty or money plant. It is usually grown from seed or a small transplant initially and then reseeds itself here and there in the garden. Pinetree Seeds http://www.superseeds.com/ carries seed for it in their Everlastings section, an internet search using google and the Latin name as search term should bring up additional sources. |
