When you plant New Guinea Impatiens, do you pinch them back? If so, how many times?

If the plants are extremely leggy they can be pinched to encourage branching but this will delay flowering so in my opinion it is better to purchase well developed plants in the interest of time. A quality grower will have pinched them at the right times during the production process, in total only two or three times is needed. So you should not need to pinch them routinely either at planting or later.

These plants are naturally more upright than the shade loving impatiens but they do widen nicely as they age.
