"Gold Capella" is a variegated type of dwarf Schefflera. This is a tropical plant and will not tolerate cold temperatures, so it is grown as a houseplant. If you wish, you could move it outdoors to a bright but shaded location for the summer.

This is a fairly easy houseplant to grow. Indoors, it needs a bright to moderately bright location. Water it thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry a bit before watering again. Do not allow it to sit in a saucer of water after watering, as overly wet soil may cause root rot. Fertilize from spring to fall with a water soluble fertilizer for foliage houseplants according to the label instructions. This plant will grow up to about seven feet but can be pruned if needed to keep it in bounds. Finally, keep an eye out for spider mites and treat them with insecticidal soap according to the label instructions if it is needed. Enjoy your plant!
