Does Pomegranate need full sun or partly sun, and type of planting.

They take full sun, but can also tolerate partial sun, and like hot dry summers and cool winters. Young trees are usually trained with a single trunk and multiple branches. Because fruit forms on the tips of branches, carefully shorten branches for the first 2-3 years to promote growth of many shoots. Fertilize in the spring with a nitrogen fertilizer and water deeply through the entire root zone. Fruit ripens in late summer, so make sure the tree is not stressed for water to help prevent fruit splitting at that time.
