Purchased Jatropha tree last year. Grew and flowered. Just starting to leaf out. Does it like sun or shade, type of soil, plant food. Thank you for all help.

Your Jatropha will grow in full sun to part afternoon shade. It's a spectacular specimen tree, quickly reaching 15', and producing vivid red flowers in clusters over the entire plant, year around. Provide rich, well-draining soil and fertilize once each spring with a balanced all purpose fertilizer such as a 10-20-20. Apply in amounts listed on the label (too much will burn the roots), and water in well after application.
