|Our climate is very wet and even at the height of summer, the spot I have in mind gets only about 6 hours of direct sun. Do you think the pink Dream Rose could make it under such conditions?
|Growing roses in the Pacific Northwest can be a real challenge! Roses need a minimum of 8 hours of direct sunshine each day or they'll fail to bloom - or worse - become prone to insects and disease problems. Some of the more resistant roses that seem to do well in your gardening region include Blue Nile, Chicago Peace, Color Magic, Dainty Bess, Double Delight, Electron, Fragrant Cloud, Granada, Heirloom, Honor, Irish Gold, Just Joey, Keepsake, Medallion, Mr. Lincoln, Olympiad, Paradise, Pease, Princess Margaret, Red Devil, Silver Jubilee, Tiffany, Touch of Class and Voodoo. Sorry, Dream Rose isn't on the list.|
