Cherry Sunblaze is a small growing rose in the two foot size range. Care would be the same as that for most roses, a full sun location with good air circulation, plant in average to rich soil that is evenly moist yet well drained, and maintain a two to three layer of organic mulch year round. Place mulch over the root zone but not up against the stem. The mulch will help keep the soil moist, keep down weeds, and feed the soil as it breaks down over time. Water as needed to supplement rain to maintain an evenly moist but not sopping wet soil. Avoid wetting the foliage when you water as this can encourage foliage problems. An annual application of compost and/or if you prefer a complete granular fertilizer such as 10-10-10 according to the label instructions in early spring, late spring and mid summer should maintain adequate fertility. Any routine pruning would be done in early spring. Regular removal of spent blossoms through out the season will help keep the plant blooming its best. Enjoy your rose!
