I was looking at your Goldflame Honeysuckle. Can you tell me whether this plant is as fragrant as regular honeysuckle or not? |
In my experience, unfortunately Goldflame or Everblooming Honeysuckle (Lonicera x heckrotti) is not particularly fragrant (although Michael Dirr describes it as "slightly fragrant" in his "Manual of Woody Landscape Plants") and in no way would match the fragrance of the notoriously invasive Japanese Honeysuckle (L. japonica) that we often see growing wild. |
