This is a smaller growing form of magnolia, growing round topped in a semi-shrub, semi-tree form to about 10 feet tall and wide in colder climates (it is considered hardy to USDA cold hardiness zone 5), possibly 15 feet in warmer areas.

As with all magnolias, it prefers an evenly moist yet well drained soil that is slightly acidic and rich and humusy. It should be planted in a sheltered location out of the wind and not in a "frost pocket". It will do well in full to partial sun.
