|Will a Kramer's Supreme Camellia take full sun or must it be in "filtered sun" to thrive?|
|Camellias do best in a bright location but without direct sun year round. The reason for this is winter sun can cause excessive temperature changes within the plant (and ruin foliage and buds) and summer sun can be too hot for it and burn it. A full sun location is really not suitable.
This plant will also need a position sheltered from wind and a warm microclimate to do well in your area. Your county extension and local nursery personnel should be able to help you determine where the most favorable location would be in your own yard based on local conditions and weather patterns.
