I was told the Dawn Redwood I purchased grows 10 ft. tall. Your site states it can grow to 80 ft. but states that an attribute is that is can be a patio container plant. I bought it for a speciman tree in a garden. I am confused about what to expect. Can you clarify this for me? Thanks

Metasequoia glyptostroboides (Dawn Redwood) has the ability to reach 80', but rarely does in a landscape situation. Keeping yours in a container will slow root (and top) growth, which will keep it small. It will be a lovely specimen tree for your patio, regardless of the growth potential of its forested cousins.
