Hi, What is the fastest growing boxwood? I need 5' tall and 3' wide. I need privacy by my pool. I'm willing to buy larger if that helps. Thank you, Margie Job my area is 3' wide 95' long. Full sun.

Boxwoods are considered slow-growers, and most put on less than 6" of new growth per year. Perhaps a better choice for the site would be Ligustrum (privet). The leaves of the Japanese privet are roundish-oval just like the leaves of a boxwood, and they have a similar growth habit; compact and dense. I suggest Ligustrum japonicum 'Rotundifolium'. It has a moderate growth rate, reaching a mature height of 5' tall and 3' wide.
