Winter Hardiness Of Madagascar Jasmine - Knowledgebase Question

Depending on what map you consult, I live in either zone 6 or 7. I would very much like to own a specimen of Madagascar Jasmine, but am afraid it would not winter well in my zone. Would I be restricted to keeping it potted indoors, or is there some way to shield this plant for survival outdoors?

The Madagascar jasmine (Stephanotis) is essentially a tropical plant and would not survive in a cold winter area such as yours. It would definitely need to be brought indoors as a houseplant or into a greenhouse during the colder months. It can be summered outdoors as long as temperatures remain in the mid-50's at a bare minimum.
