Can I get seeds from the dried up bloom on a Magnus coneflower? |
Yes, you should be able to collect seeds after allowing them to dry on the plant. Make sure they are fully dry before storage. You may also have to compete with the birds to collect them! If you are hoping to grow more plants for your garden, it might be helpful to know that these will often self sow if not deadheaded, so let them set seed, then look for seedlings near the plants next spring. Keep in mind too that the seedlings may not be quite identical to the parent plant. |
