Hi..we love your plants and frequently buy from Swansons nursery in seattle!!
We live on a very small Queen Anne, Seattle lot.
A subdivision is occurring with a proposed apartment building in our backyard. We want to screen this apartment building with a tree(s), could you please recommend a fast growing tree with a maximum height of 60FT andf max. width of 20FT.
Could you please give us a deciduous and evergreen option.
Thank you!!

Poplars are always reliably fast-growing and make great privacy screens. They have a columnar shape and are deciduous. Evergreen tree options include Limber Pine, Austrian Pine, Japanese Black Pine, Chinese Holly and Chinese Privet. "Fast-growing" is a relative term; the better you prepare the growing site and care for the trees during their first few years, the faster they should fill the space to provide a screen.
