I recently got a gift of white narcissus bulbs planted in a clay pot with gravel. How do I take care of it?

Are your narcissus growing in soil with gravel or just gravel and water? If gravel and water only, add just enough water to bring it to the base of the bulbs. You need only to keep the basal (root) plate in the water; don't immerse the bulb completely. Maintain this level. If they are growing in a soil mix, water to keep soil moist but never soggy. No fertilizer should be needed in either case. When growth begins strive for a daytime temperature of 60 F and a nighttime temperature of 40 to 50 F... that would be ideal but most folks can't maintain greenhouse-like conditions. So, just try to remember blooms will last longer if the temperature is uniform and slightly cool, 65 F is best but 70 F is probably OK. Allow good lighting but no direct sunshine.
