|I have a very rough textured brick on the front of my house. I want to plant a climbing Hydrangea there. Do I have to put in a trellis or will the hydrangea cling to the brick?
What is the best way to attach a wooden trellis to my brick if I need to?
|I have most often seen this plant trained into a formal trellis-style or espaliered pattern using wires strung for guiding the symmetrical pattern rather than for support. It grows with little clingers rather than by twining so it does not need a trellis to wrap around and would not stay on the trellis as a result. It will cling to the brick on its own just fine.|
