|Lagerstroemia (Crape Myrtle) can develop powdery mildew. It's a fungal disease that can be controlled with a lime-sulfur spray just before the buds open in the spring. Lime-sulfur (called Bordeaux Spray) is used on apple and other fruit trees to protect them from fungal diseases. Apply according to label directions to protect your Crape Myrtles next spring. As an added measure of control, be sure to rake and remove the leaves from beneath your trees this fall. Best wishes with your Crape Myrtle trees.
