My colored calla lilies were doing great (freshly planted about 4 months ago) and now they are turning yellow and dying one by one. What's wrong? |
Zantedeschia, or Calla Lilies, go through a dormancy period so the yellowing foliage is natural for your plants at this time of year. Eventually the leaves will die down to soil level and the rhizomes will rest. There's no need to water during this resting period. In the spring you'll see new foliage. As soon as the new leaves emerge, resume your regular watering schedule. Your callas will burst into spectacular bloom again next season. |
