| My dwarf white pine's needles are quite yellow. I have given it some iron but it is not doing the trick. Any other ideas would be appreciated. |
| If the new growth looks healthy and the affected needles are the older needles, toward the center of the tree and branches, the yellowing (and eventual shedding) is normal. Older foliage will be replaced by new foliage. However, if the entire tree looks yellow, and you've applied iron to no avail, it might be time to have your soil tested. Pines prefer soil on the acidic side. If soil is too alkaline, nutrients can be bound up and not available to the roots of the plants. Hope your pine regains its health soon! |
