|Hot Pink Tidal Wave Petunia. How do you plant the seeds in Sacramento, CA?

|Petunia seeds should be started indoors 8-10 weeks before planting out, or sown directly in a prepared garden bed after the soil has warmed in the spring (April in Sacramento). Seeds need light in order to germinate. Sow seeds on the surface of the soil and keep the seedbed moist until seeds germinate (typically 7-10 days when temperatures are 70-80F). Petunias grow best in full sun or very light shade and prefer moist, well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter and a pH level of 6.5 to 7.0. Pinch the plants frequently to encourage a bushy growth habit.
