|I just purchased one of your Blood Banana plants. It was in a greenhouse and there was a mature one on display as well.|
I would like to keep it inside...will it make it?
|Musa (banana) is often grown as an indoor foliage plant. Whether or not it flowers and produces fruit depends upon the growing environment. Obviously, a greenhouse is best, in terms of light, temperature, and humidity, but you can try to duplicate these growing conditions in your own home. Musa needs warmth - a minimum of 70F in the winter. It thrives in bright light and some direct sunshine is beneficial. The soil must remain moist at all times, and the foliage should be misted daily. Best wishes with your banana tree!|
