About a month ago we planted a tecoma stans. It's doing beautifully but I was curious about pods (long, thin, about 3 to 4 inches) that have developed. Should these be removed? Just left alone? Thanks so much!

If the pods are growing where flowers once were, it's a sure bet that they are seed pods. You can leave them alone, or prune them off. Seed development usually takes a lot of energy, so if you want, you can redirect that energy into additional vine growth by cutting back the stems with the seed pods on them. Tip pinching and light annual pruning will encourage dense, bushy growth of your Tecoma. Enjoy!
