Pentas lanceolata is a woody perennial from tropical Africa. It grows about 3' high and 4' wide and the stems are topped by 4" wide clusters of star-shaped flowers in white, pink, lilac or red. It provides nearly year round color in your gardening region. The leaves are green, somewhat hairy and oval in shape with pointed tips. Hope this answers your question!
