| It's always best to plant foundation shrubs far enough away to allow the plants to reach mature size without crowding against the house or garage. A Blue Princess Holly will eventually reach 8'-10' in height and 6'-8' in width. Since it will be quite wide at maturity, a Blue Princess should be used out in the landscape rather than as a foundation planting. If you want to grow a holly close to your foundation, choose a smaller variety such as the Dwarf Buford holly. This is a compact grower, reaching only 4'-6' tall and wide. |
