|Lady's Mantle (Alchemilla mollis) is an outstanding edging or ground cover plant. It will grow in full sun to full shade (and everything in between), and prefers moist, well-draining soils. It has large, scalloped edged, pleated, gray-green leaves that are soft to the touch. The leaves have a waxy coating that sheds water and, best of all, slugs never bother the plant! In late spring the plants are covered in large branched clusters of handsome chartreuse blooms. They make excellent fresh cut of dried flowers. Very showy itself when massed, it also provides an excellent contrast to brightly colored plants. Grows to 24 inches tall and self-sows.
Enjoy your garden!
