|We're going to plant these on trellis between our house and the neighbors, currently we have only gravel on this side of the house as it's a Wet location that provides the drainage during rain. How much of a 'raised soil bed' would you suggest to help this plant grow better. Also, should this plant get to crazy, what is the best way to get rid of it (roundup is an option since the area is just gravel).
I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. We are transitioning to a new Q&A system and your question was unfortunately lost in the transition. I have discovered it now and hope this reply is not too late to be of help.
Trumpet vine is a fairly tolerant plant of moist conditions. It would be best to give it a planting bed raised about 8 inches high to keep the base of the stem from being kept too soggy wet.
It is possible to get rid of it with Roundup if you decide to down the line.
Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
